LOS ANGELES — Vive Concierge, the nation’s only minority and women founded virtual care company, today announced a national partnership program to expand free access to its telehealth platform for marginalized communities across the United States. The program invites foundations, philanthropic organizations, historically Black colleges and universities (HBCU), medical schools, and health professionals to join in delivering care to those most affected by racial inequity, and policy-driven healthcare loss.
The Congressional Budget Office estimates that recent federal legislation could strip healthcare access from more than 16 million people by 2034, with Black, Latino, and immigrant communities bearing the brunt. In response to rolled-back health protections, VIVE’s initiative enables partners and donors to underwrite critical care for people experiencing homelessness, low-income patients, immigrants, older adults, and communities of color who are being aggressively excluded from traditional pathways.
Vive’s Care Platform integrates with Epic, Cerner, and other major electronic healthcare record (EHR) systems to enable secure data exchange and real-time care coordination. It democratizes concierge medicine by giving providers and patients unified record access and seamless referrals, improving diagnostics, treatment, and outcomes. Already serving people the system has failed, Vive is scaling a sustainable model with leading universities, clinics, and physicians, and is inviting mission-aligned partners to help ensure no one is left behind.
“Vive is turning concierge medicine into access for all, regardless of income,” said Dwayne Hall, Co-founder and CEO of Vive Concierge. “My brother was housing insecure for many years, and his untimely death might have been prevented with access to physician care through a platform like this. Stories like his are way too common, and are at the heart of our commitment.”
Vive Concierge’s encrypted platform, initially built for the Los Angeles County Street Medicine Coordination Collaborative with UCLA, USC, Venice Family Clinic and other Federally Qualified Health Clinics (FQHC), is bridging access gaps for unhoused and medically vulnerable people.
“Here in Los Angeles County, this type of corporate stewardship and innovation means more of our unhoused and vulnerable neighbors get care when it is needed and stay connected to it,” said Janice Hahn, Los Angeles County Supervisor. “It builds trust, improves health outcomes, and reduces costly crises, moving us closer to a fairer, healthier society for everyone. We’re inspired by companies bringing innovative solutions to hard problems.”
The partnership program is now actively onboarding philanthropic and institutional collaborators through a national outreach and engagement effort. Vive has a pipeline of thousands of doctors and health professionals who have expressed interest in joining.
“Healthcare is a human right. Collectively we must act now with innovative solutions, and approaches to make this a reality,” said John Baackes, Chairman of the Board at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, and the former CEO of LA Care. “We must create new models that bypass the politics and deliver on the promise of equity. Vive is doing that, and we’re proud to see this in our community.”
Other leaders who have followed Vive’s work in delivering care to vulnerable communities welcomed the platform’s release. Veronica Lewis, former CEO of HOPICS, one of Los Angeles County’s largest service providers for the unhoused and at-risk populations, said: “Vive is truly dedicated to people, combining innovation with a quiet passion to do the work. I support what Vive stands for and look forward to this platform saving lives and improving health for our vulnerable communities.”
